"Fall in Love with taking care of yourself.Mind.Body.Mind"
Yoga came into my life at a time of uttermost vulnerability.I started practicing yoga 1 year ago.Diabetes has been a big challenge in my life. After I was diagnosed with type1 everyone suggested me to do more exercise and I found myself really diving into my yoga practice. When I was new to yoga ,I used to feel poses awkward.I used to feel like I am doing it wrong but came to realize later that it just because that my body is not used to it.But there is a learning curve and I stick with it and saw how it changed me.
Diabetes can be controlled through yoga!!
Yoga has helped me to collect my body and mind in a single piece again .Today I am healthier than I've ever been-physically, mentally and spiritually rooted.I feel myself getting better and stronger.I have more energy and I am in a better mood. I never lose my smile.I am enjoying life.I am in love with the people in my life and I feel very lucky.I couldn't be more grateful to my diabetes, because without it , I wouldn't have the passion instilled in me now.My experiences have shaped my way of thinking and I truly believe everything happens for a reason.
And the day I nailed my first headstand is the day i will always remember. It feels incredible to measure my own progress and self growth through yoga practice.Yoga is not about how flexible you are .It is not about how well you can balance while holding yourself upside down or one arm.Yoga is a personal journey--only you know how far you have come and where you are headed. If you feel inspired, enlightened and reborn after an invigorating yoga and you feel empowered to finally make changes in your life, then that's what yoga is about.

"YOGA IS THE JOURNEY OF THE SELF , THROUGH THE SELF,TO THE SELF."

Somedays I find myself in a very challenging environment.I find myself not performing as well as you did the other day.And most of the time we put ourselves down for not being where we want to be.Not just in our practice but in other areas of life also.In yoga I learned to accept where you are right now.Maybe you are killing it in crow pose or maybe you keep falling out of a headstand.Either way It's Okay.Because you're exactly where you are supposed to be.Accept it ,learn from it and move on.
